Alex Skobel, President of Skobel Homes, receives energy efficiency award

Skobel Homes is committed to building innovative energy efficient quality homes and are proud partners with both the Building America program under the U.S. Department of Energy and ENERGY STAR®.

As a member of the Building America program under the U.S. Department of Energy, Skobel Homes has made a commitment to building energy efficient homes that score 70 or better on the E-Scale, and contribute towards research that will develop energy solutions for the future of the home-building industry. Building America is an invitation only private/public partnership sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy that conducts research to find energy-efficient solutions for new and existing housing that can be implemented on a production basis. Only select builders in the nation are in partnership with Building America; including Skobel Homes.

Skobel Homes is also proud to offer new homes that have earned the ENERGY STAR® label. ENERGY STAR qualified new homes are substantially more energy efficient than homes built to the minimum code requirements. Our ENERGY STAR qualified new homes are independently verified by a third-party Home Energy Rater to ensure they meet ENERGY STAR energy efficiency guidelines. These homes are better for the environment and better for you.

Alex Skobel, President of Skobel Homes, accepts the Builders Challenge Designation Award recognizing Energy Leadership in Home Building from Samuel W. Bodman, U.S. Secretary of Energy on February 14, 2008.
